Most farmers fly blind

You know what your chili yield was last cycle. You don’t know whether that’s good or bad for the conditions you grew under. You know your fertilizer bill. You don’t know whether you’re paying more per kg than the farm next door. Without comparison, you can’t tell whether your problems are universal or specific to you — and that matters, because the fix is different.

Ecosystem Intelligence is the answer to “am I doing better or worse than other farms like mine?” without anyone needing to see your numbers individually.

How the benchmarks work

• Cross-tenant aggregation, never individualNumbers are aggregated across all farms growing the same crop in a comparable region. You see “chili growers in Pahang average 2.3 t/ha” — never “Farm XYZ produced 2.1 t/ha.”
• Density thresholdsA benchmark only appears once enough farms (typically 5+) have contributed data for that crop/region/season. If the sample is too small, the benchmark is hidden — no misleading numbers based on one or two farms.
• Nightly snapshot jobAggregates refresh overnight. You see yesterday’s data, not last quarter’s.
• Your data feeds the network, not the inverseLogging a harvest in your farm contributes one data point to the aggregate. You see that aggregate. No one ever sees your individual harvest.

What you see on your dashboard

On the home dashboard, a Platform Metrics section shows your farm’s position relative to the network:

• Yield (kg/ha or kg/tree) for your crops, this cycle and historical.
• Disease and pest pressure — are alerts more frequent on your farm than the regional norm?
• Operating cost per hectare — fertilizer, pesticide, labor.
• Selling price per kg — are you getting a typical price or being undercut?

Each benchmark comes with a sample-size indicator (“based on 23 farms”), so you know how much weight to give it.

Why this matters more than any single feature

Privacy guarantees

Aggregates are computed server-side. Your raw data is never exported to any third party. You can export or delete your data at any time. The terms of service spell out exactly what we do and don’t do with farm data — short version: nothing you wouldn’t want.
